Our battle with Coronavirus has taken an extreme toll on singers. We are told now that singing spreads the virus many, many feet from our mouths. Some churches, schools, and community choirs are told that singing is NOT allowed. Yet this is such an integral part of worship for many churches, including Good Shepherd.

We started a campaign 18 months ago to raise money for a new organ to replace the antiquated instrument. And you did it! Not only did we raise the $65,000 for the organ, order it, and receive it, but we added three speaker cabinets that look as if they were part of the original plan of the church.

Join us Sunday, December 8 for a very special 10 am service featuring The Good Shepherd Choir, guest soloists, orchestra and our new organ presenting Vivaldi’s “Gloria.”

In less than a year, we have raised over $65,000 for our new organ. The costs for the organ installation and choir loft remodel are adding up, though, mostly due to additional electrical requirements and new speaker cabinets.

Our organ replacement fund is almost there!  We are almost 3/4 of the way to having a wonderful new organ to replace the inadequate and failing organ in our church.  And we have a matching donation which will make your donation double!!!  

We wanted to share the fact that we have about $40,000 toward the goal of $65,000 for the organ. As you know, the organ continues to be inadequate, limiting what our organist and choir can accomplish musically. 

As of mid-January our New Organ Fund has had wonderful support from the Good Shepherd community.  Over 60 families have donated and the total is at almost $40,000 of the $65,000 that we need to raise.
