Making a Joyful Noise unto the Lord
Good Shepherd has a rich, vibrant music program that highlights several different groups who support our services with an eclectic mix of music from both classical and more modern composers. We believe that offering many styles of music broadens our appeal, and that all music created with God at its center is good. We invite you to look over our many groups and hope you will consider joining us as we make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
"Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation."
- Psalm 95:1
the good shepherd Choir
The Good Shepherd Choir provides musical leadership and performs anthems of all types on Sunday mornings during the worship service. During the school year, the anthems are presented on a regular basis and on an irregular schedule during the summer. The choir also sings at special services during the year (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Week). Occasionally, other musical events are offered to the community. Membership is open to anyone desiring to sing in a mixed choir. Regular attendance is encouraged but not required. During the school year, rehearsals are on Sunday mornings before the service, in the Sanctuary. Members may sing in the Summer Choir once a month.
We hope you will consider joining us. Contact Connie Branton for more information.

Bell Choir
The Good Shepherd Bell Choir provides musical offerings throughout the year at selected services. Rehearsals are every Thursday evening during the school year from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in the chapel. Membership is open to anyone who can read either bass clef or treble clef. No experience required. Bells are a percussion instrument; so if you need a fun way to handle tension - give this group a try. Contact Trish Hartman for more information.

UPLIFTED
UPLIFTED is a group of musicians and singers who provide a more modern, contemporary style of worship music. Our music gives praise to God. We sing to show that God is in control. Our repertoire consists of traditional hymns, Taizé’s and worship songs that can encourage and provide comfort. The instruments we use vary depending on the piece we are performing. We use keyboard, acoustic 6 and 12 string guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, Aerophone (a wind synthesizer), tambourine, shaker, djembe, bongos and electronic cajon.
The group leads the worship service one Sunday each month and we play and sing at a Blended Service with the traditional Choir twice a month. We rehearse on Wednesday evening in the Sanctuary. If you sing or play an instrument we would love for you to join us. Connie Branton is the Director of the group and she accompanies us on the keyboard.
The Black Sheep
Black Sheep Men's Chorus is a group of men from Good Shepherd who enjoy singing together. They meet on Sundays following the second worship service on an announced schedule. The group sings for worship about four times per year with rehearsals for a few weeks prior to each anthem that is scheduled.
Any man, teenager through senior citizen is welcome. All that is required is a desire to lead in worship with a singing voice in a men's choir. Music of the group is varied in style.
Connie Branton is the director of the Black Sheep Men's Chorus. Contact her for more information or to answer questions you may have.
DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, OUR CONCERT SERIES IS ON HOLD FOR NOW.
The Music with a Mission Concert Series is an outreach project of Good Shepherd which benefits local mission organizations and artists, and provides top-quality entertainment to the Centennial Community. Each concert is free of charge, and a "love offering" is collected during the evening with all proceeds going to our sponsoring mission.
