SERVE IN WORSHIP AND ON SUNDAY MORNING

Worship in the Episcopal Church is created through the art and work of many dedicated lay people who assist the clergy and congregation.

Acolytes, Lectors and Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Leading processionals carrying symbols of our faith like the processional cross and carrying offerings including the bread and win to the altar, acolytes assist the clergy during the service.

Acolytes

Trained readers proclaim the scripture for the day and lead the congregation in prayers for the whole and church and world.

Lectors

Trained and authorized to administer the chalice of communion wine, lay eucharistic ministers assist the clergy to during communion.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Children, youth and adults are welcome to serve as acolytes and lectors. Volunteer by contacting Sue Lavoie through the church office.

Those interested in serving as Lay Eucharistic Ministers should contact the rector to discuss training and authorization requirements in this church and diocese.

Ushers and Greeters

Monet is a lifelong educator with a passion for creating Greeters Greeters are usually the first people we see when entering our church for Sunday worship services. They help both our visitors and parishioners feel welcome and comfortable. Newcomers are helped to find the nursery, Sunday School Classes, and the Sanctuary. All it takes to help with this ministry is a smile and a welcoming heart.

Since church is different, our ushers' helps worshipers a by distributing bulletins, helping people find a seat, guiding people to communion, collecting the offering, and caring for unexpected needs during the service.

Altar Guild and Flower Guild
Every service, the Communion Table is prepared to celebrate the Eucharist with the appropriate elements for each season of the church year. A dedicated Altar Guild works behind the scenes to care for all the vessels, vases, linens, vestments, banners and symbols. The Flower Guild selects and arranges Altar flowers in consultation with those who provided them to remember special days and people in their lives. Special services in the Easter Christmas season are enhanced with floral displays that surround the altar. Through their service guild members grow close to one another and God. To serve on the Altar Guild, contact Nan Berringer through the church office. Volunteers for the Flower Guild may contact Lori DeLue through the church office.

Audio Visual Ministry
Our services are live streamed by paid staff with the assistance of volunteers. For training, contact Marge Pegula through the church office.

Coffee Hour
After church, many worshipers enjoy fellowship over finger food and beverages in the Fellowship Hall. Volunteers prepare the beverages, set up an inviting spread, and clean up afterwards. Others supply treats. Sign up to help either way outside the church office.
